Shawn Woods
Farm Manager and Farm System Specialist

Originally hailing from Nova Scotia, Shawn Woods attended Saint Mary’s University where he holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Management.  Shawn moved to Ottawa after accepting a position with the Bank of Nova Scotia and over his +15 year banking career he was a consistent top producer earning the Platinum Performer distinction which is the bank’s highest award for mortgage sales.  After retiring from the Bank to focus full-time on his role as founding partner at ‘Futurescape Corporation’ (an engineering firm specializing in the defence and aerospace industries) he was lucky enough to travel extensively across Canada having fun meeting new people and evaluating new technologies.   Returning from backpacking through South East Asia in early 2016 and seeing the value farmers brought to small villages he decided to relocate back home to Nova Scotia and try his hand at sustainable food production. Shawn loves SCUBA diving, 3D printing, cryptocurrency, motorcycle adventures and Kale. You’re just as likely to find him publicly speaking passionately about Bitcoin as you are to catch him fishing alone off a quiet pier.
