About the Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Helper is responsible for supporting operations by performing various maintenance tasks while collaborating with GoodLeaf’s technical team.
Responsibilities (but not limited to…):
Shipping and Receiving
· Manage the shipping and receiving of all finished goods, materials, and supplies.
· Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
· Verify product counts during receiving and shipping.
· Verify or complete documentation during receiving or shipping.
· Transfer raw material supplies to the farm production area and finished goods to the warehouse for storage.
· Create and receive inter-warehouse transfer orders in the system.
· Work with Quality Assurance on the hold and release process for finished goods.
· Collaborate and communicate with the production planner, customer service representatives, and production regarding customer orders.
Inventory Management
· Conduct daily inventory counts of finished goods.
· Perform weekly and month-end inventory counts of raw materials and supplies and enter them into the inventory system.
· Maintain inventory integrity by organizing the warehouse and maintaining storage locations.
Order Picking
· Ensure accuracy when picking and packing orders.
· Review and verify product numbers and counts for orders.
· Palletize and pack orders for shipment.
· Use the ordering system to prepare documentation, assign products to orders, and close orders.
Safety
· Adhere to and comply with SSOPs and SOPs at all times.
· Use established procedures for handling materials.
· Follow GoodLeaf Farms' employee Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Policy, and Occupational Health and Safety Policy.
· Maintain the cleanliness of finished products, raw materials, and inventory receiving areas by performing regular housekeeping tasks. Ensure 5S guidelines are implemented and adhered to.
· Ensure proper and timely disposal of by products from the production line.
Any other related tasks.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Successful completion of material handling certification for the machinery used (e.g., reach forklift, electric seated counterbalance, scissor lift).
· Professional reliability and a strong work ethic.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
· Organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
· Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to withstand cold temperatures (1 to 4°C) for extended periods.
